WC Rotterdam T1&T2 WMH Update

WMH heeft een extra vereniging ingeschakeld voor de hosting van het WK in Rotterdam. HC Schiedam gaat Dames 35+, 40+ en Heren A teams 35+ tm 50+ ontvangen.

Eerder al is Rotterdam een samenwerking aangegaan met Victoria, daar komt nu een 3e vereniging bij.De toernooidata blijven onveranderd 22-6 tm 1-8-2026.

Dear WMH Members and Team Contacts

While WMH is delighted by the large number of registrations for the 2026 World Cup Tournament being held in Rotterdam – 183 teams – it has posed some challenges for the local hosts (HC Rotterdam and HV Victoria).

In order to mitigate any potential issues with local health/safety codes as a result of overcrowding, WMH has entered into an agreement with another local hockey club – HC Schiedam - (HC 1936 in some mapping apps), with the tournament for the O35 & O40 women and men National teams to be held there. The O35 & O40 women and men IMC competitions will remain at Rotterdam / Victoria which will now host all of the IMC competitions. The WMH website will be updated to reflect these changes in due course.

The dates for all of these competitions remain the same: July 22 – August 01.

Schiedam is 20 minutes by car from Rotterdam and teams would arrive at the same airport and local hotels are well located for all three venues. HC Schiedam has four water-based pitches, a very nice clubhouse, and a warm and welcoming host organizing committee.

Given this additional venue, WMH is now in a position to offer additional places for any O45 & O50 team that missed the registration deadline, but are still interested in participating in the 2026 World Cup. We may also be able to accommodate additional IMC teams, women or men (O35/O40/O45/O50). So please make contact asap if you would like to nominate for these tournaments.
